Actual inner monologue regarding meeting someone new:

The app that reminds me to take my birth control is in itself a form of birth control. The tag line “free to love” makes me never want to have sex again.

I was having a straight up terrible night, but then I remembered that this video exists. Now I feel much better.

I’m moving into a new place in May and I’m thinking of decorating with art prints of my favorite quotes.

I’m not an overly emotional person. I don’t cry that often, but I do cry for patriotism. It’s a weird quirk.

The Olympics, particularly patriotic American made car commercials, large groups of people waving flags, soldiers returning from war. They all get me, but nothing gets me more than the National Anthem.

I’m working today so I missed the inauguration this morning. I just watched Beyonce singing and I’m straight up crying at my desk.

Francis Scott Key and John Stafford Smith can warm my cold dead heart like no one else can.

Earlier today at work I decided it was a good idea to look through all of new gentleman caller’s Instagram pictures. I’ve been purposefully trying not to stalk, but today I cracked.

Tonight gentleman caller texts me asking if I had gone through his Instagram back catalog.

Apparently I accidentally liked a picture from like a year ago.

Of a bride and groom.

Dead.

This goes pretty high on the all time list.

When I write about my family I usually write about the bad luck that has fallen upon my us in the past year. It is rare for me to have good news when it comes to the Nachlis, but Big Brother got into Johns Hopkins for grad school today. From now on he will be known as Alexs Nachlis. Huzzah Alexs Nachlis, Huzzah! Restore honor to the house of Nachlis!

So excited!

I am stunned by how into this I am.

Also, good to see that Zack Snyder is no longer the “visionary” director of 300.

I’m generally a Marvel kind of guy. I enjoyed (loved the first two, was okay about the third) Nolan’s Batman because, well, I’m not an idiot. But, I’ve never been a big Superman fan. Boyscout from outer space. Those facts mixed together give me literally no expectations for this movie. I’m a blank slate. The only thing I’m hoping for is a Parker Posey cameo. She was robbed of a franchise!
